They donate 100% of all revenues from their bottle opener and promotional item sales to "non-profit organizations that promote bicycle safety, awareness, and community." Last month, they raised $700 to benefit Friends of China Camp (FOCC). And in October, they're pitching in to assist the Friends of Tamarancho finish a new trail at Camp Tamarancho in Fairfax, CA. So if you can't wait to win some of their sweet swag at the Sweep, support their other charitable efforts and shop online!

Five fortunate Sweepers will have the chance to win a custom Timbuk2 bag this year! Thanks again to this wonderful San Francisco company for supporting us with such great prizes. Be sure to stop into one of their stores or authorized resellers to start brainstorming designs and colors...

New Sponsors for 2010!

There's always so many people to thank every year for making the Sweep a successful event: our hard-working organizers, the dedicated participants, and our beloved sponsors. The sponsors make it possible for us to give something back to the folks who donate their time and money to bring loads of food to the San Francisco Food Bank.

We'd like to take a moment to shine a spotlight on some of the new sponsors who have committed to providing prizes to the 2010 Sweep!

In addition to building super rad bikes, San Jose-based framebuilder Mike Ahrens of Ahrens Bicycles, is also behind the nifty WiseCracker bottle opener. He's generously donating a dozen of these to us, while Ube Urban of Ube's Ice Cream Shop is throwing in a custom paint job for a frame. Alite Designs and Mountain Hardware are two Bay Area companies that produce awesome gear for the great outdoors and will be donating some of their fine products to us.

Local Bay Area cycling legends Steve Smith of All Hail the Black Market and Bradley "DFL Brad" Koester of Boozely's Pickles and Preserves will also be kicking in some fine goods. The next time you have some spare time, read Steve's blog and chomp on some of the tasty Boozely Pickles - Brad will deliver them to you by bike if you live in San Francisco! Cycling maven and inspiration Lorri Lee Lown, founder of Velo Girls, will be chipping in a gift certificate to one of her coaching clinics. The fabulous photographer Pamela Palma is donating one of her exquisite cycling photos as a prize, while Flickr, the online photo-sharing company, will be handing out several pro accounts! (Now more folks can share photos in our Sweep photo pool!)

Santa Rosa resident Lucie White of Luce Goods will be sending us some lovely goodies from her sewing machine, and Jenn Tomlinson and Mary McDermott, the ladies of Pedal Panties, will be sending along some of their stylish and functional bicycle lingerie. The Brooklyn-based, uber-cool Outlier Clothing will also be donating some fashionable clothing from their cycling-friendly line.

A big thank you to all of our new sponsors - we're truly grateful for your support!
